TRICK OR TREAT

PA150408
                                                                                This is the real me!

PA310609

The candles are lit and the radio with the scary music is turned on.
Soon they come to the door in bunches dressed in all sorts of  costumes.

Dad answered the door when I answered the phone call from my brother.  The procedure went well and they drove back home to Invermere  afterwards.  They did a biopsy of the bone that showed deterioration and it will be an anxious time till they get results.  No lifting or bending for awhile.

Mrs. G wanted us to come and pick up some beer she buys for dad at  Christmas.  This for dad because she wants to thank him and say she appreciates my visits.
Dad went down to do that and took her some flowers in a pot and had a visit.  He calls a spade a spade but she was not listening.   She looks forward to the children coming at Halloween and had her porch light fixed so she could turn it on.  She is a real character in many ways!

Today I will go and visit her with our friend Lily.

Kim did not get called in to work so she was going to a party instead.
She is a traffic  person and has her sign but her costume is in the bag.
She is the one blowing the whistle and I am sure she has been whistled at many times.

Haiti is very frightened with all the noise and now the fire crackers.  We tell her she is too big to sit in our laps but she still tries!

Each one of our lives has a unique value and true worth.  Maybe there are times when we have to choose our battles and not waste breath or time trying to change others.  Knowing the nature of our own hearts is the first step!

Dad was trying to tell G that she was wrong about something? I came home and pouted for a couple of hours and then cleaned the house. Had about 20 kids. Got up early this morning to get in a quick Skype with Mary and Simone. Simone loved seeing all the kids come to the door and wanted to go home with one of the moms, turned and said bye to Mary. The beer is for somebody that is no longer alive? Or?

Good thing Haiti didn't decide to start barking at the fireworks!

Rick

The beer is to thank your dad for sharing me. He still has some from last year.

Haiti desperately wanted to sleep with us but did not bark.

G has some very wrong ideas and trust issues that are causing her to feel sad and lonely.

Is that really you behind that costume, Beth? If so, good for you dressing up for thg kids.
This is the third year we took our treats to the community club and the kids all fo there and line up to get their treats from each person there. I didn't stay this year...worried about the dogs and Carl...I didn't want the dogs to get out the door. I missed seeing the kids in their costumes.

Sorry Sandra was having a tough time with her studies....it isn't easy working and having to go to school and study. I am sure she will do just fine....bounce back Sandra...all will be well!

That is cute that Mrs. G is grateful to Larry for loaning you out! If he still has beer from last Christmas it likely is skunky by now!

Another beautiful day....sunny and about 6C. I am busy cleaning out 40 years of junk from our crawl space....it is taking me days to do. I have three piles...throw out, Thrift store and keep. We have the dump truck backed up to the door and all I have to do it throw the stuff on. Good think we kept the truck after Carl retired.
I am downsizing...going to give my
Granddaughter the china cabinet and china from my mom and grandmother..too.

Life will be a lot simpler with less "stuff".

How is the weather on the coast?

Love,
Nancy

Yes we need to all down size a bit I am sure.

Just cleaning up here today.

Left the cobwebs up for Halloween but they got swept down today.

Too bad Jasmine and Matthew had a disappointing Halloween with only one door opened to them.
