Yes dad and I did go to church and then afterwards asked a friend home. It turned into a long visit but a very fruitful time.
The lesson was about wisdom and some one who we may see as different from us may also have a word of wisdom that can strengthen what we believe and help us live life fully. We can always listen to others and be open to their points of view.
Church for me is a place to hear a word of scripture, say a prayer, hear in the silence and sing joyfully. Faith is a mystery that is born in our hearts in deeper ways as we continue to worship with others. Sharing their joys and sorrows.
It is not a place to hear answers but a place to find ourselves deeper in the questioning of everything.
Wisdom comes when we are willing to listen!
Wisdom is curiosity, awe and uncertainty that continues to give us hope and trust in the God, the very heart of creation.
Wisdom is being yourself and listening to the spirit within us.

Carol and I had a lovely time at dinner last night and I just got an email that she arrived safely. By the way, is Uncle Kenny still on Facebook? I wanted to send him a birthday message but couldn't find him? xo

Thanks for letting me know Carol arrived safely. Ken goes on and off face book so he may be off again. Dad has his e-mail so he can give you that when he is up.
