DEEP

It was hard to believe that the sun was shining at Sandra's work because there was a rain cloud high over our heads,  Five minutes later the sun did shine which is good. There was a huge deep puddle at the bottom of our driveway so again the paper girl threw the paper onto the grass.

Dad went to clear away a drain so the water could run away, and I made a tunnel to take it away.  We were successful.    There is going to be a lot of deep water around.

Tavia dropped by to pick up the ice cream she left in our frig.

We did not go out to look at computers as dad's feet are painful and I am not to keen on going out.

So the gospel of John is getting deeper into theology.  The characters are Jesus's brothers who want him to go to Jerusalem and.  also the Sadducee's and the Pharisees who are very angry at the popularity of Jesus and annoyed especially at his healing on the Sabbath.

Families do like to give advice which can be good.  I will try to follow some one of these days.  Jesus would later go to Jerusalem  when it was his time to go.  I guess I will do the same.

Nancy what is the name of the book you told me about.?

That is so cute to imagine! You and Larry playing out in the street with the ice and snow and drains...did you float some paper boats too? We used to have such fun doing that as kids and I am sure you did too.

Well it sounds like the snow is melting quickly and hopefully that will be all this winter for you. I sure hope so. We are in for another 6 weeks at least before it starts to melt and that can take a month. But there is light at the end of the tunnel, the days are getting longer and the sun is quite a bit warmer.

I spent an hour and half grooming Pixie again and got a huge pile of fur from her....all mats. There are mats upon mats upon mats and it takes quite a while to get down to almost skin. bless her heart, she lets me do anything and even lets me brush out mats on her poor little broken hip and leg...of course I work very gently. She has been spending more time here. Her owner doesn't do anything for her.

My laptop died today and I am hoping my son will be able to get it up and running again. I won't be able to buy a new one and I miss it terribly. I do have an old desktop I am using now.

Beth, who were Jesus Brothers? Did he have sisters too and were they left out of the picture in a male oriented society?

I was listening to Coast to Coast on the radio last night when I couldn't sleep and there was a fellow on there who really believed in the power of prayer....not the kind of prayer with a grocery list for God to act on...but the kind of prayer asking God how he could serve him. He had been wealthy at one point in his life and enjoyed living the "high life" many of those rich folks live...but he lost it all and became humble and God serving. I didn't hear the whole program, just parts of it.

I wondered how Lucy is doing? Sandra's old dog? I think of her often and hope things are ok.

Have a good evening,

Love, Nancy

Lucy is our dog that died, it is Peanut who is still alive and kicking. She is doing OK. She likes going to day care and now I had a lady come by today to meet here who will do house calls when I am away visiting the grand kids and Randy is working.

Had a very busy morning, ADT, plumber, window guy, the dog lady and we were waiting on Shaw but they called to reschedule.

They we drove out to Burnaby to look at counter tops. Can not say I loved any of them.

Drain pipes all running with water all day long, but lots of snow on the roof still.
