This little girl has had a busy day!
It was a good group and dad enjoyed being surrounded with his loving family.
We had phone calls from Ron Ateah, Mary and Michael John and Rick and Ken!
The best part about our get to gethers is all the laughter!

Beth, you do such a good job of documenting all the family parties with photos and commentary. It makes me feel as though I was there too, seeing everyone and the cake and candles and that cutie pie little miss Ophelia. She always is the star of the parties I bet! But Larry would come in a close second today!
We had some Family fun today too! I cooked two chickens and made all the trimmings, just like at Christmas...and had our sons over for supper.
We had a good time laughing and Carl was telling stories about long ago ( as most older men like to do ).
One was about a local character who was driving on the old road to the nearest store. Circa 1945... He like to belt back a few drinks and his poor wife was with him and I guess she was getting on his nerves with her talking. He said. " I reached down and grabbed the crank and gave her a tap on the head and she was quiet for the rest of the ride"!
I had a busy day getting the house in order because we have an estimator coming tomorrow to look at the work we want done to the house. It is for Carl's disability. We need a bathroom on the main floor. Also we need new shingles and the house painted and a new holding tank. A lot of work. He will be here first thing in the morning.
