ORTHODOXY
The Orthodox Christian or Jew have certain observances that they follow that may seem strange to outsiders. Holiness is not about mumbled prayers three times, or prayer shawls, or black hats. Rules can be an outward symbol of sanctification but it is the inward transformation that gives us life, abundant life as promised by Jesus. But it is a reminder of taking time to create an awareness of God as The Holy One.
Looking inward and upward.
