Dad and I drive in to see Theresa and Mikie arriving home on Sunday.
Theresa showing us her pictures
We go out to celebrate.
Carol had been out to lunch and a play. Ben was suppose to play soccer in Burnaby which was cancelled and then at the last minute it was on again but too late to get Ben there on time. He was happy to spend the time visiting with everyone.
Dad and I came home to watch some of the Oscars. There was an unbelievable last minute flub as the wrong picture was announced. So the winners right away became the losers. Of course we thought it was a joke.
Life can be full of highs and lows but sometimes the best is to just go along as normal.
Dad and I eat breakfast by the window looking out at the snow. Actually it is my second breakfast!
We took home left overs from the restaurant so that would be our supper.
We went shopping at Winners actually to return two things. I would like a shirt but not too tight, or too short or too long. I will wait for spring.
Too people who are winners in my book are Jane and Nancy. Keeping you in my heart and in my prayers.
I am sure the disciples did not expect to become losers after their mountain top experience.
We are learning through times of losing and times of winning.

I did not watch the Oscars, but saw the big mistake on the news the next morning. Such a shock for everyone to go from winners to losers to winners in such a short time.
I bet Theresa and Mikey would love to be back in Mexico after coming home to more snow.
I just booked an appointment with Dr Nolte for the 31st (shoulder) and it says I will be in pod #2 but the web site says they will be in the new building... I guess I will figure it out.
Randy set off the house alarm at midnight by accident as he was leaving for work. What a way to get woken up!

My posts have disappeared, Beth...just checking to see if this one remains!
Love, Nancy
I do not know what is happening with the postings.
Dad will look into it.
What a shock Sandra to hear the alarm!

Hi Beth! I have left at least two and possibly three posts that magically disappeared, but see the one I left this afternoon is still there!
I am really out of my routine with my lap top being out for the count! Usually I enjoy your blog along with my morning cup of coffee...but now am tethered to the desk upstairs and working on the desk top computer. When the new jack arrives my son will repair the laptop and I will be back in business in the morning.
Thank-you so much for keeping me in your heart and prayers, Beth and i am sure Jane feels the same way. I have so enjoyed our friendship over the last few years..albeit only through your blog....one day we may meet, one never knows what the future will bring do they. You definitely are a winner...and an excellent writer of things spiritual as well as family.
Carl had cataract surgery last Thursday...which meant we had to go in to the city again on Friday so the surgeon could check his eye. All is well. We have to do it again on Thursday this week...and it is going to be a very cold day. Did I tell you about the "almost" accident that happened in the next lane to ours as we were stopped at a red light? WOW is scared the daylights out of me...a big semi tanker truck couldn't stop for the light...and almost ran into the little car that had slammed on for the amber light. The little car steered into my lane and the tanker went right up on the concrete meridian....if he hit that little car it would have been pushed into the intersection and a terrible accident happen. I am sure we would have been involved too...but for the Grace of God...as they say.
I think the truck driver was following too closely....we going 80K too..it was on a freeway.
I am working on making a little book for the daughter of our pharmacist...Haitham. She wrote a story in English ( they are from Jordan and Muslim ) and illustrated it with drawings. She is only 7. So I volunteered to make it into a book for her...well I was having a hard time making out how the story flowed...it was jumbled....then I realized that she wrote the book from the back to the front as they do in Arabic, using English words. So funny!
There was a double homicide in a quiet little village about 25 kms away. It was two men who were drug addicts and they were both shot and killed. One left behind two little daughters and an estranged partner. So very sad. Everyone cannot believe what happened. The mother of the little girls is our nieces best friend.
Wow you received more snow? This has to be a record winter for Vancouver doesn't it? I am glad we aren't out there for a months holiday as we used to do. We can get snow here anytime thanks!
How are you feeling Beth? Do you think the iron infusions gave you more energy? Have you heard from Jane lately? I was thinking of her the other day and hoping that things with she and her husband were OK. Living with a person who has Alzheimer's is so difficult.
I read that Carol is leaving for the Cayman's? I hope it isn't a permanent thing and she will be back soon. You will miss her a lot won't you?
Well hopefully this post will stay on your blog!
I wish you and Larry and wonderful evening. We are going to watch the Jets play the Wild...Minnesota. I think the Jets are pretty much out of the race for the play offs, but they have a young team and next year should be a lot better.
Love,Nancy
Wow that accident must have been very scary and heart stopping.
My prayer is always for safe travelling for you two!
I hope the post is corrected but time will tell.
Great to read your news some tragic and some hopeful.
My finger is cramping so I will end now.
Love Beth
