SUCCESS

DSCN3032
Dad was up bright and early ready to put the sink in our little bathroom only to discover it was a teeny tinny little bit too big.  He try nearly everything but standing on his head it would not work.  An added problem is the wall was crooked.  What were they thinking when they built this house?

It was not a day of serenity.    I tried to make a milkshake and when dad tried to fix it the whole machine came apart with the milk and every thing flying all over the kitchen.

Sometimes when I try to be helpful I make a mess of things.

Being wise and knowing when to quit  we decided to just change the sink and not the whole counter nor the cabinets.  It is such a small place and even a half an inch can make a difference.

It was good to hear Kim's voice as she called coming in the door.  She had a bag of things to make a salad and quickly chopped everything up and we had a delicious salad placed before us.

It is wonderful to hear her running up and down the stairs bringing life into our unsuccessful day.  Let's go back and try and just get the sink dad suggested and I agreed so off we went.  We picked out a nice sink but even as we brought it home dad had a sinking feeling it would not work.

It fit and it was a success.  Still lots of work to be done and more problem solving but we are encouraged.

That is truer than true!
There is no one alive who is you-er than you!

Sounds like a good idea. It would be nice to see you. Dad will be doing some work hooking up the taps in the bathroom. Nice to have a handy man around.

How wonderful for you to have Kim living with you while she goes to school! She is like a breath of fresh air....with her cheering greeting and the healthy salad she made.

I hope the bathroom sink and taps goes well today...too bad we didn't live nearby..our sons would have been able to help...they are both journeymen carpenters and do that often! Not the actual plumbing part tho...that is Dave the happy plumber's part!

I am going to work on a sunset painting today..one that is completed and try my hand at applying some gold leaf.I had better turn off the fan or it will be all over the place!

How is your itch Beth? I am watching the gluten and it is better. It is like having hives...really itchy.

Have a wonderful day,

Love, Nancy
