THE MESSAGE

DSCN5181
Actions speak louder than words.

Jesus came to the area of the Canaanite people so this is an action and although when this woman comes to her he tests her  with harsh words he healed her daughter by his word.  The Jewish people thought these people were nothing more than dogs so the words that were said reflected the culture and time then.
He told the woman she had great faith and rewarded her for her perseverance.

This was the message at church or my thinking on it.  I have read this many times but still find new thoughts come to mind.  How important it is to dialogue with each other.  "Our worship brings us into communion with the church in the past, the present and the future."
-  Church Bulletin.

We carry our memories that have made us who we are and together find the courage and strength to find hope in the future.  In all our lives there have been mountain top experiences, and there have been valleys and deserts but if we can" waken our minds to the joy of being fully alive"  it is like finding streams of living water where ever we are.

The travelers are busy coming and going.  Haiti was so excited to be going in the car with Kim over to the island.  I wonder how she liked going on the ferry.  Sandra should be home after her fantastic visit with Simone, Mary and Michael john.  What a great surprise for Mary!

Oliver will be going back to work on the Coast Guard boat.  He was so happy to get that job!

Dad took his bike to the Water Shed park and met up with an old friend who has missed seeing him.

Dad and I traveled to the Home Depot looking to find what we can et to update our bathrooms.  Came home hot and tired with the muggy weather.

The message is what we believe should affect what we do.

Two families of raccoons! There is trouble in the offing, that's my prediction!

It is wonderful how very early Christianity was sort of anti-religious. Catholic church sure took care of that!

Love,

Rick

I can relate to your tiredness Sandra but what a wonderful time you have had. It will take days for you to recover I think.
Yes Rick I think in the past the church has had a lot to answer for and I think that is an idea for a blog to-morrow.
