RAIN DROPS

A very light rain falling as I went for a short walk.

A bigger turn out for our ladies group as many came to learn about wills and funerals.  It keep several people rushing about to find extra chairs amid all the chatter.  When the guest speaker started every one looked very serious and thoughtful.

Over the last several years there have been a lot of memorial services in our church and there will be one again this Sat.

After lunch dad and I headed over to the library.

I read some words written by Pope Francis that was good to focus on after the morning.

"There are many people who appreciate, admire and love you.  I would like you to remember that to be happy is not to have the sky without storms, paths without accidents, jobs without tiredness, relationships without deceptions or stress.

To be happy is to find strength in forgiveness, hope in wars, safety when in a frightened state, love in failures, to be thoughtful about sadness, the knowledge of being able to travel within oneself.

To be happy is to avoid being the victim of your problems.

To be happy is to be grateful to God each morning for the miracle of life.

To be happy is to hug your children, spoil your parents, and enjoy fun moments with friends.

To be happy is to release our free, cheerful, simple child that lives within our souls.

Our lives could be a garden of beauty and opportunities for growth and wisdom."

These are not the exact words but a over view of what he said.

I am thankful for the raindrops that refresh all of nature!

Yes, it is good to have reminders of the practical side of life. Bad stuff happens but we still have choices that will allow us to enjoy the good things life has.

I am just wondering, did he really say spoil your parents, or did you just throw that in on your own?

Thank you for picking up the cat tree. If they have any other cat stuff feel free to take it as well. I am sure the kittens will appreciate any thing to make their life more fun.

Very wise words from Pope Francis....isn't he amazing? A real. 'people's pope"....down to earth and so humble....much unlike his predesesor....who had &10,000 red patent leather shoes made for him. I am not Catholic but went to a Catholic private school and was immersed in the faith because my friends were Catholic. I went to many Masses....and sometimes stayed for the Religion studies. But remained a Protestant. What are your thoughts about Pope Francis.

Haha...funny about spoil your parents....but it is a good comment!

Does Sandra have kittens...is she fostering them? oh boy they would be a lot of fun.

We ar expecting an amazing Thanksgiving weekend, lots of sun and warmth so there will be a lot of cottagers out for the last time this year. The municipality shuts the seasonal water off on Monday.

Love, Nancy
