WHO IS MOVING IN?

Haiti is worried about the orange cat moving in.

She is our neighbor's very old cat who drinks at our pond every morning and walks across our front deck back home after wards.  She just glares at Haiti and Haiti walks away giving her lots of space.

Haiti has nothing to fear. Kim does not like cats and it is important we try to keep her happy.

Dad looks at a cute picture and goes all mushy
but I am finding I have enough to look after even starting with myself.  Yes, old people do get selfish and cranky but life is one big effort.
The next question is when and where is Rick staying?  Should I get the bed ready and vacuum the computer room?  Maybe he is worried about me dragging him on long early walks.  No worries mate!  I sleep in not as long as dad but 6:30 or 7.  I walk a short, slow walk to the park,  We love having him visit but times are changing!

Also we are going to a funeral on Sat. at 1.  A good person who reached out to help many.

One think after reading "Being Mortal`` I was again amazed at how well our bodies do function with all the intricate things that have to work together.  Also the brain can heal and new pathways can be formed to do all tasks.

Fearfully and wonderfully created!

Haiti is such a pretty dog...good girl giving the cat a wide birth!
Do you take her with you on all your walks? Dogs are such good companions aren't they?

Company is always good to have...we had company yesterday and today....it is really good for Carl because be is not able to get out much at all. It is hard for him to walk very far. I enjoy it too. The fellow who was out best man at our wedding 55 years ago came yesterday and we had a good time reminiscing.

I can hear all the cars on the highways coming into the beach...cottagers coming to enjoy their last weekend at the cottage. There is a fish fry tomorrow to raise funds for our firefighters and medical response team. It is very popular...and serves about 500 people.....all done by volunteers from our community.

What plans does your family have for Thanksgiving? I would like to go out for supper...one of the restaurants puts on a lovely Thanksgiving supper with all the trimmings for $12...but Carl and the family don't like going out....it looks as though I will be cooking on MOnday.

I just read a warning from emergency measure ....there is a wind warning for Lake Winnipeg....the water is going to rise 3 - 5 feet Sunday night with a wind shift to the north....it won't affect us, we live on a hill, but lakefront property owners may be affected.
We can have some wicked fall storms here...our little island sticks out in to the middle of the lake and we take direct hits from the north winds.

Hope you feel stronger Beth...

Love, Nancy

What an active community you have.

I remember pictures of another bad storm you had.

Good you live on a hill.

We are getting together at Carol and Panteli's on Sunday.

I think most of the family can come.

Last early shift for me . Melina did an early shift aswell . She got dizzy at a kids party and came home to vomit. I think she had about two hours sleep. I had thre hours . The weather is warm and thunder storms about. Rocky the dog is not happy with the thunder. We don't like him in the house now as he pees on things!! Not sure why he does it now . Have to think about dinner now. Melina still sick in bed. Matthew said he's happy with a sandwich. Melina did not get the job with qantas, but is on a waitlist. So you never no.

Ken, that is so bad with Melina being so very sick. She must feel like dad who believes no one can help him but I wonder if there is some specialists could help Melina. Hard on you both. I certainly know about nausea and throwing up. You can get things to put back into the water.
It is okay just to have a sandwich if that's what they want.
You must be exhausted too Ken.
Thinking of you both and praying Melina will improve.
