ROLLER COASTER RIDE

I am starting to feel like we are on a roller coaster ride.
Another day of stomach pains and nausea.
Maybe the eggs I said he should not have for breakfast.
We are both not too bright.

I think we are just a pair of complacent old fogies that still have lessons we need to learn.

But in spite of that we had a nice trip to the library.  I picked up a bag of mysteries for dad if he wants to read.  I found this can be helpful.

On this ride we are keeping moving and each day we get closer to getting rid of this small organ which is acting up and causing so many problems.

"Healing comes when we make room for all our emotions.  Room for grief and anger and frustration for misery and hopelessness and even fear." -  Pema Chodron

Yes joy comes in the morning when the ride is over and renewal and healing help us both recover.

Ah, the ups and downs of life....sometimes it seems like we are mostly fighting an uphill battle doesn't it? Right now I want to get off the roller coaster and it looks like we may get some answers today or tomorrow in regards to our van and IF the insurance pays for the damage.

Perhaps give Larry's surgeon a call and let him know that he has been having pain and nausea. He could move the surgery up as an "urgent surgery" if he so deems to do so. It is worth a phone call. Larry still has three weeks till the scheduled surgery.

Where did your love of books and reading come from Beth? Was it an interest that was fostered by one of your parents? Have you always had the interest? My Mom took me to the book mobile, which was a branch of the Winnipeg Library when I was about 6. I used to take the "street car" ( yes I am that old ) for 5 cents, down to the bookmobile, once a week. It was quite the exciting thing to do! Later on a library building was built in our area and I have always belonged to a library....even on vacations, I would borrow books.

I am going to visit our local library today. It is located in the basement of the Senior's Scene. I am looking for a Phillipa Gregory book...love her historical novels.
We also have to go to Pine Falls and get the letter from the mechanic for Autopac and fax it to them. Keep your fingers crossed for good news for us!

I hope Larry has a better day today. Figuring out what is safe to eat isn't easy when you are ill.

Love, Nancy

I am sure we will have a better day because we are learning to cope!

I hope you do too.

Out to garden until dad wakes up.

Love Beth

Here is hoping for a better day. My first time wearing a jacket to work in a long time. I think it is still pretty warm out, but may be raining for our walk in the afternoon.

I have been reading the old fashion way lately, a real book. My finger is bothering me though, have to go back to the surgeon soon. I find it much easier to read the kindle.

What a lovely picture of a mature rose and buds getting ready to bloom .l think it is a good idea asNancy suggests to contact the surgeon .it certainly cannot hurt you know what they say about the squeaky wheel getting the oil.Nancy we must have some favourite authors in common l am reading a Phillipa Gregory's novel at present 'The Other Queen'.We have an excellent library just 1 block away. lt is rather a miserable morning but i an quite exited as kiera is putting on a party for us this evening and tomorrow two of Geoffs cousins arrive from England.hope to hear better news from you tomorrow Beth you do seem to be on a bit of an unpleasant roller coaster. Love. Jane

Looks like i may get the 19th and 20th off. So looks good for a 19th sept arrival.
The kids start holidays on 16th of sept for two weeks. They may stay at Melina's sisters house on the 22nd , lots of fun for them. Jesse should have his drivers licience by then so he can pick Melina up from the hospital if required .
