Trying to capture raindrops.
One thing about rain it also cleans the air of a lot of dust and everything smells so nice.
Yes dad is still a bit of a rebel when it comes to not being able to eat his favorite foods.
He had to check his computer because he does not always believe me. Today he was good and the day has ended with no pain so far. Yes, I thought about calling the doctor but with the long week-end he would still be on a waiting list. He knows for sure he cannot eat eggs or fatty foods.
Good news that Ken will be arriving on the 19 and dad and I both appreciate Melina kindness in sending him home once again. Praying that both their surgeries will go well.
The human body certainly can rebel and produce polys and stones which we do not need.
My garden is in a real state of rebelling as it is growing so wild. I tried to clear it a bit today but with the rain coming on and off it was not good.
Dad and I both set off just as the rain started again. He was on his bike and I walked to the park.
I seem to be having trouble concentrating on reading and I often get sleepy.
"Can you see the holiness in the things you take for granted-a paved road or a washing machine?
If you concentrate on finding what is good in every situation, you will discover that your life will suddenly be filled with gratitude, a feeling that nurtures the soul." -Harold Kushner
We are thankful for a good day! !

Well, don't go thinking dad will be able to go hog wild and eat anything he wants after his gallbladder is out. Sounds like some control of certain items will still have to happen.
Yes Sandra that is what we have been reading.
But what we are finding out everyone is different
so we will wait and see.
Tasha and Justice can meet us for a birthday lunch for
the two of you on Sat. Is 12 okay?
Love mom
Glad to hear that Larry is free of pain and nausea today. Hoping each day is the same for him....until his surgery!
Whose birthday(s) are coming up? Sandra's? Happy Birthday to whoever it is!
We are invited to small memorial service for Carl's cousin who passed away last winter. Their Great Grandfather, Magnus Craigie, donated the lakefront land for St. Luke's church in the late 1800's and helped build the church.
The church is closed now, but the service will be outdoors in the yard and there will be lunch afterwards at The Ranch, which is a restaurant owned by another cousin.
There is a stage there and I am sure there will be lots of music.
It will be great to see family who we haven't seen in years. The Craigie's emigrated from Scotland in 1872 and settled on farmland about a half hour drive away from here. These are Carl's Mother's family..not Ateah's.
I returned the rental car today...our insurance only covered 30 days and things move so slowly living in the country. My friend Susan is lending me her extra car a Volkswagon bug....a standard. Good thing I am used to driving trucks of all sizes and standards, usually, for the business!
Well I wish you a lovely evening,
Love, Nancy
