IS THERE LIFE AFTER DEATH

"Whatever you answer this Easter, we all need to come to terms with the end of our earthly existence." Douglas Todd - The Vancouver Sun

Douglas Todd writes about people like philosopher Alfred Jules who have experienced a cardiac arrest and technically died for four minutes. He became a much nicer person and thereafter believed there was life after death. Others have experienced similar wondrous images while "dead" which included a beckoning light and the collapse of space and time. The immortality of the soul is a central them of the widely popular 3-D movie, Avatar; in which the world weary hero must go through a death experience to be reborn. Yet doubters certainly still have good reasons to doubt while those who want to believe will find reassurance in the lives of people who have had strange experiences and whose lives have changed.

This certainly applies to the disciples and followers of Jesus; whose lives were changed, when they heard and saw the risen Lord Jesus. The Lord appeared [Ophthe] to them and spoke to them. Ophthe means to have one's eyes opened to see dimensions beyond the physical.

"As this Easter experience made it's journey through time on the backs of human words, it was certain to grow and become embellished." --J.S. Spong

We have no words to describe the Resurrectionwhich was a mystery and a miracle and as we all seek for every moment and every relationship to hold a mystery and the reality that life changes and beckons us to change.

Blind ignorance is no better than blind faith. [me]
